About Me
Jamie Pyper (MBACP, Adv. Dip. Couns.)
My 16 year Transatlantic and European business and entrepreneurial background working for multinational companies in senior roles, combined with my 4 years training and experience as a professional therapeutic counsellor & therapist give me unique insight into how to work with and motivate individuals and teams and make the experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
My corporate background and experience is in the high tech industries in London, for 10 years and San Francisco, California for 6 years, working mainly in Silicon Valley. During this time I have been a part of rapid growth, leading edge multinational companies, such as 3Com, US Robotics, Palm and Psion with global responsibilities variously as a Director of Business & Strategy, Manager of people, Business Consultant and Business Relationship Broker, using coaching extensively to bring out the best in my teams or relationships throughout.
I have usually been either leading or a core member of pioneering teams exploring different ways of doing business and strategic partnerships around a huge variety of business models, constantly entering new territories and building from scratch. I have worked as both an internal and independent business consultant, with venture capital and extensively with multinational business partners such as Sony, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft and Sybase as well as small companies or even individuals with good ideas that are looking to get established and go to market.
Apart from my corporate credentials, during this whole period I have got the greatest enjoyment from helping people, whether it be employees, peers or business partners to achieve their best and often surprise themselves. This ultimately brought me to therapeutic counselling, coaching and personal development, where I am now.
Henry Ford said that 'If you believe that you can or you believe that you can't, you are probably right'. My belief is that you can. That we all have the potential and ability to achieve our goals, but that sometimes we need help to tap into it…
