Psychotherapy or Therapeutic Counselling
What is it?
There are a huge number of definitions about what counselling or therapy is. These are my thoughts. Therapy is about being able to explore your own mind, thoughts, and feelings with an independent professional guide. I am fully trained, professionally supervised, indemnified and work by the code of ethics of my professional body, the BACP.
If you are interested in finding out more, the BACP have some useful background as well as the National Institute of Clinical Excellence who are strong proponents of therapy.

How I work
Who is it for?
It is for anyone, from any walk of life or background, whether they are going through a difficult patch or just interested in understanding themselves more fully. I work with a very broad spectrum of people of all ages and circumstances.
Though there does not need to be a specific area, some typical Therapy areas that I work with a lot are:
You might just not feel right and need to talk through what is happening to resolve it. You will not necessarily know what the issue is and would use therapy to understand and resolve it.
